Tap is a very gentle, very sweet senior Sheltie-boy at 8 years of age who is in very good health except for being overweight.  He needs a family that will help him lose his excess weigh gradually.  Tap is a very handsome tri-color Sheltie and very smart.  Even though his weight makes it a little difficult for him to go upstairs, he would rather tackle them then be separated from the people he loves.

Tap was well-loved by his previous owner but health problems made it necessary for him to be relinquished to Sheltie Rescue.  He has integrated into our household very easily, is good with other dogs, and couldn't be less interested in our cat.  He is a very smart boy and a very gentle boy who hopes that someone will soon come along who will give him the loving home he needs.  Tap's adoption fee is $200.00.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Special Needs: Tap needs your help to lose his excess weight very gradually...but it must come off of him. It would help if his new Mom and Dad are aware that dogs suffer from the same diseases, as they age, that people do, such as arthritis, acid reflux, tendencies to put on weight, and so on.
