Brandy is a great Sheltie-baby...she's really in her teen stage but she's still learning and really still has some baby tendencies.  I am careful to watch what she chooses to chew on...she could still do some inappropriate chewing though I don't believe I've seen any yet.

Brandy's history is a mystery.  We've been told that she was picked up from a shelter in Wyoming, given her vaccinations (which we have no records for but we are not going to vaccinate her and risk over-vaccinating her) and then given to an older couple who found her more active than they were comfortable with.  Thankfully this couple contacted us.

Brandy has been with us a week or less.  We've found her to be very light on her feet, would make an excellent agility prospect, is very responsive to us and would be easy and fun to train (she does need training and a training class would be highly recommended).

Brandy's coat color is a lovely mix of sable, white, and mahogany brown.  Her coat is not a heavy coat or a long coat.  I think ultimately her coat is going to be a short coat.  It's hard to tell for sure because I don't know if anyone clipped her coat before we got her.

Brandy is a Sheltie-girl who would love to play, cuddle, run, and go camping with you...and of course, she'd love that very special bonding activity of sleeping with you.  At her age, I wouldn't trust her to have the run of the house while you're at work or while everyone's out of the house.  I can't imagine what it must feel like to a Sheltie-teen, like Brandy, to be taken away from her Mom, brothers, and sisters, (hopefully at no younger than 8 weeks of age) go to one home and be there for maybe a year and then go to a shelter.  In Brandy's case, after the shelter, she was in two more homes before landing in Sheltie Rescue.  Sheltie Rescue, where she's living in a house, is her 6th home in just 18 months! Happily, and somewhat amazing is the fact that Brandy is adjusting to all these changes extremely well.  She's having fun playing with other youngsters here and cuddling with people and is going to be a great companion with a very sound personality.

If you're interested in adopting Brandy please fill out our Application for Adoption at www.SheltieRescueUT.org.  You can always call Barbara at 801-942-4762 to ask questions.  Brandy's adoption fee is $400.00.
